Canisters and jerry cans from DENIOS

Canisters and jerry cans are indispensable companions when it comes to the safe storage and transport of liquids in small to medium quantities. Whether for use in industry, in the laboratory or in the private sector - the choice of the right canister depends on various factors, such as the type of liquid and the specific requirements of the place of use. In our range you will find a wide selection of canisters and jerry cans that are suitable for a wide variety of applications and meet the highest safety standards.

How do I select the right canister?

Jerry cans and canisters are indispensable aid when it comes to transporting and storing small quantities of liquids. The choice of the right canister depends, among other things, on the liquid to be stored; for example, a food-safe canister is not suitable for harsh cleaning agents. It can be dissolved by them. Alcohol or petrol canisters also have their own specific requirements. You can find out which liquid the respective canister is designed for in the product description.

The transportability of the canisters is also important. Steel canisters are particularly suitable for long journeys by plane, ship, road or rail. They can withstand long journeys better than plastic canisters due to their dimensionally stable shell. You can also transport, fill and distribute flammable liquids in stainless steel canisters.

The place of use is also very important when choosing a suitable canister. For example, if the canister is intended for an Ex zone, i.e. a potentially explosive area, it must have UN approval for hazardous goods. In this case, safety canisters with appropriate labelling are suitable. They can store most hazardous materials such as acids, alkalis and fuels.

Regardless of whether they are UN-approved, food-safe or conductive: In our shop you will find a large selection of different canisters to suit your needs.

Robust and safe canisters for food and water

Food-safe canisters are essential for the storage and transport of foods such as juices, oils or other liquid foods. These canisters are made of special plastics such as HDPE, which do not release any harmful substances and therefore do not affect the quality of the food. They are also resistant to acids and alkalis, which makes them particularly versatile. Food-safe canisters are also very suitable for private use, such as camping or catering. You can find more food-safe products in our product world for safety in the food industry.

Water canisters from DENIOS offer a practical solution for the safe storage and transport of water. They are made of robust and durable plastic that protects the water from contamination. These canisters are ideal for use in emergency situations, when camping or during outdoor activities where a reliable water supply is crucial. Many models have integrated taps or carrying handles, which make handling easier and access to water quick and easy.

What are the advantages of a plastic canister?

The DENIOS range includes canisters made of high-quality plastic in all standard sizes, naturally with the corresponding UN approval for hazardous goods. The canisters in the various designs are suitable for filling, storing and transporting fuels, solvents and many other hazardous goods, for example. The canisters are made of different plastics:

  • PE: Canisters made of polyethylene are resistant to impacts, for example, and remain stable even at low temperatures.
  • HDPE: High Density Polythylene canisters are, as their name suggests, made of particularly dense polythene. They are usually approved for foodstuffs.
  • PP: Canisters made of polypropylene are stiffer and harder than those made of polyethylene. However, they can withstand higher temperatures.

Thanks to the generous opening, you can easily fill the canisters. Models with transparent viewing strips show you the exact fill level at all times. Antistatic models are available for use in hazardous areas. The PE canisters from the DENIOS range are stackable and palletised. We also have the right fill level indicators, safety valves and taps.

What are the advantages of a steel canister?

Steel canisters offer several advantages, especially for the transport and storage of hazardous materials. Thanks to their high rigidity, they are ideal for long-distance transport as they can withstand loads over long distances better than plastic alternatives. In addition, many models have fuel-resistant seals and internal coatings that prevent corrosion and enable safe storage.

Another advantage is their suitability for flammable liquids. Steel and stainless steel canisters often fulfil the strict requirements of UN approval and may be used in potentially explosive atmospheres. Their robust construction also makes them particularly durable and reliable for use in demanding environments.
