FALCON safety containers have been developed for the internal transport of smaller quantities of flammable liquids. They protect employees and increase operational safety. The safety containers are made of plastic, steel, stainless steel or PE and are designed for storage, transport, filling, fine dosing, wetting and collecting. For the transport of liquids, we recommend safety canisters made of steel, stainless steel or plastic.
Safety cans play a crucial role in the handling of hazardous liquids, especially in industrial and laboratory environments. The FALCON safety cans from DENIOS offer an optimum solution for the safe storage and dosing of aggressive and flammable substances. Thanks to their robust design and the use of high-quality materials, these containers guarantee a high level of protection against potential hazards. They also fulfil all relevant safety regulations that are required when handling hazardous materials. The robust design and high-quality materials ensure optimum safety in various working environments. The safety containers made of stainless steel or galvanised and additionally coated steel (1.4301) ensure the chemical resistance and purity of the respective hazardous materials. Many models also offer the frequently required explosion protection thanks to the integrated flame arresters.
The polyethylene containers are suitable for filling, transporting or storing acids and alkalis, for example. FALCON safety containers are designed for everyday use in industry and laboratories and are highly resistant to breakage. This guarantees a long service life. You can check which material you need using our media resistance list.
FALCON cans offer additional safety thanks to features such as pressure relief valves, impact rings, earthing connections, self-closing fine dosing valves and flame arresters. In addition to the extensive safety features, the containers have ergonomic handles that enable safe and comfortable handling.
All safety containers fulfil the applicable regulations such as the Technical Rules for Hazardous Materials (TRGS 510 and TRGS 526) and the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV).
Each FALCON container comes with a safety sticker for individual use. The sticker provides you with the standard GHS symbols and also a field for labelling the container with, for example, the name of the liquid contained and/or the intended location of the container.
Our safety cans can be used for a wide range of applications. Whether in laboratories, production facilities or other work areas - they are ideal for storing flammable liquids. Thanks to their different sizes and designs, they can be flexibly adapted to individual requirements.
In this category you will find suitable products for various requirements:
Cleaning: FALCON economy moisteners are used to moisten cleaning cloths and sponges with a small amount of liquid, for highly targeted cleaning.
Fine dosing and decanting: FALCON safety cans and canisters with a fine dosing tap and integrated flame arrester provide effective protection against flame transmission and at the same time enable the precise dosing of flammable and aggressive liquids. Safety cans made of polyethylene are also available for the safe handling of acids and alkalis, for example.
DENIOS also offers you the right product in the form of FALCON safety cans and canisters if you need a safe solution for the storage and in-house transport of liquid hazardous materials. Some of these products are even available with an approval for the transport of hazardous goods in the public sector. The approval number is already embossed on the containers.
The FALCON brand also includes other product types for various areas of application. Access the FALCON product range here .
The FALCON safety cans impress with various ingenious functions. The most important features at a glance:
Self-closing fine dosing taps:
The self-closing fine dosing taps ensure maximum safety for employees and the environment. The FALCON safety containers are only open during use. After use or in the event of accidental dropping, the containers close automatically using spring force. This prevents uncontrolled leakage of hazardous materials and contamination of the substances. In the event of a fire, this also prevents the escape of hazardous vapours.
Integrated flame arrester:
The integrated flame arrester protects the contents of the safety containers from unwanted penetration of sparks even when the container is open. Made from special stainless steel mesh, the stored substances are safely protected from sparks and flames. This provides reliable explosion protection, which also prevents the container from bursting. The fuse can be easily removed and reinserted for cleaning.
Pressure relief valves:
Chemical reactions occur naturally with various hazardous materials, which can lead to overpressure and resulting explosions. The overpressure valves ensure automatic pressure equalisation before possible explosions at an overpressure of 0.3 - 0.4 bar. As soon as the excess pressure has escaped, the valves ensure that the containment is automatically re-sealed.
Earthing connections:
Many FALCON containers are also available with an optional earthing connection. A suitable Quick-Connect earthing cable is available as an accessory and completes the safety package, as there is a risk of electrostatic charge both when transferring/filling and when emptying. This can lead to sparking and thus possibly cause an explosion.
Impact rings and handles:
The impact rings protect the body of the container from damage and permanent deformation, especially in the small and therefore mobile safety jugs with a volume of 1, 2 or 5 litres. The ergonomically shaped handles are comfortable to use and therefore support safe handling.
There is always a certain risk when handling hazardous materials of any kind. To ensure safe use, please observe the following instructions:
Handling:
If safety containers are to be emptied, oxygen must always be able to flow into the container. The FALCON containers with fine dosing tap are designed so that both flow paths can take place. Only tilt the container as far as necessary during use. If the container is tilted so much that the fine dosing tap is below the liquid level, not enough oxygen can flow in. As a result, the substance in the container cannot flow out evenly.
On the other hand, in FALCON safety containers with a tap, oxygen can already flow in via a ventilation screw. This enables permanent storage in a horizontal position, e.g. in DENIOS safety storage cabinets.
Cleaning & maintenance:
The safety containers should be checked for leaks and functionality at regular intervals. How often this needs to be done depends on use and should depend on the type of substance to be stored, the hazard potential of this substance and the intensity of use.
If different substances are to be stored, the container must be thoroughly cleaned inside and out. The containers may only be cleaned when they are completely and totally empty. Otherwise there is a risk of undesirable chemical reactions.
A decisive criterion when choosing the right safety container is its resistance to the stored medium. Attention should also be paid to individual requirements such as the intended use, the capacity or desired extras. Here you will find a list of stainless steel containers' resistance to the most important media:
Medium | Resistance |
---|---|
Acetone | Very good |
Petrol | Very good |
