Parts cleaners, dip tanks and wash tanks are used in many industrial sectors for heavy-duty, effective cleaning, degreasing and oil removal for tools and components, often in preparation for paint or printing processes. DENIOS parts cleaners and wash tanks are ideal for solvent-free, environmentally friendly cleaning of engine parts, machine components and individual tools.
A thoroughly cleaned part is crucial for the success of subsequent production steps and ensures high product quality. DENIOS parts cleaners can be used to effectively remove dirt from components, regardless of whether they are made of metallic or non-metallic materials. In our product range you will find a wide selection of cleaning devices and processes that are optimised for different requirements.
Parts cleaning is becoming increasingly important in almost all industries. What was long regarded as not adding value has been recognised as a technically necessary process for some years now. It is only through reliable cleaning that the upstream machining processes themselves add value and ensure the further processing of the workpiece. Industrial parts cleaning utilises various methods to remove dirt and deposits from components made of metallic and non-metallic materials. It is often necessary to decide which cleaning method to use depending on the product. The selection of the right method depends on various factors, such as the type of components, the degree of soiling, the type of contamination and the required degree of cleanliness. DENIOS parts cleaners and washing tables are able to clean components of different sizes and geometries. In the DENIOS range you will find:
Cleaning with liquid agents is the most frequently used technology in industrial parts cleaning. The use and range of requirements for cleaning systems, cleaning fluids and mechanical cleaning support are correspondingly wide-ranging. In principle, many of the commercially available cleaning tables can be categorised as manual cleaning technologies. Light soiling on simple components, such as oil, grease or loose particles, can be removed using brush cleaning, for example. Automated or semi-mechanical processes rely on spray cleaning or ultrasound. Here, parts are cleaned in a closed system over a set period of time. Stubborn soiling, such as that caused by rust or oxides, is effectively cleaned using these methods. Ultrasonic devices, on the other hand, are the first choice for heavy soiling on components with complex geometries. Emulsions or filings are examples of such contamination.
When cleaning parts with solvents, there are a few things to bear in mind. Solvents include hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons (CHCs) and fluorinated hydrocarbons (CFCs). Mixtures of these substances are also included. Preparations of solvents for cleaning and degreasing at room temperature are referred to as ‘cold cleaners’.
The term includes emulsions and aqueous cleaning media. Emissions can occur that can have a negative impact on health and the environment. In addition, many of these substances are flammable. Caution is therefore required when cleaning parts with solvents. There are also increased safety requirements for washbasins where solvents are used. Among other things, technical ventilation must be provided if:
The solvents used must be labelled in accordance with the Hazardous Substances Ordinance
The solvents have a flash point below 55° C
The guideline for equipment for cleaning workpieces with solvents (BGR 180) specifies everything that must be observed. DENIOS provides you with floor-standing or table-top units made of robust sheet steel or plastic. Connections for 50 and 200 litre drums are available. Depending on the model, patented, self-priming circulation pumps are installed. These are maintenance-free.
