Protecting eyes and the body is especially important when handling hazardous materials. Should an accident occur despite all other safety precautions, eye/face wash stations and emergency combination showers are a necessity. All DENIOS eyewash and deluge shower equipment comply with the latest EN 15154 regulation.
Eye wash bottles are an indispensable first aid product that has been specially developed for the rapid rinsing and neutralisation of contaminants and harmful substances in the eye. DENIOS offers a wide range of eye wash bottles that are suitable for different areas of application.
Different rinsing fluids are used depending on the hazard area and application scenario:
Sterile sodium chloride solution (saline solution)
Application: Universally applicable, ideal for removing dirt particles and other foreign bodies from the eye.
Properties: Contains 0.9 % sodium chloride, which corresponds to the natural salt content of the eye and is therefore particularly well tolerated.
pH-neutral phosphate buffer solution
Application: Especially suitable for the rapid neutralisation of acids and alkalis.
Properties: Contains 4.9 % phosphate buffer solution to quickly neutralise the pH value in the eye and prevent further damage.
DENIOS offers eye wash bottles in various sizes between 200 ml and 1000 ml, which can be used both as mobile and stationary solutions. Stationary solutions are available with wall brackets or in dust-protected protective boxes for wall mounting and are particularly suitable for workplaces with a high hazard potential. Eye wash bottles enable rapid first aid for eye injuries and are easy to use. Depending on the model, they can be used to rinse one or both eyes. A 500 ml bottle is sufficient for about four minutes of rinsing. To ensure sufficient fluid for longer rinsing times, either several bottles should be available or an eye wash connected to the water supply should be used. These solutions provide reliable protection and reduce the risk of serious eye damage from hazardous substances.

The European standard EN 15154-4 defines the requirements for eye showers without a water connection and therefore applies to eyewash bottles. DENIOS products fulfil these requirements and offer reliable safety in an emergency. It should be noted that eye wash bottles must not be used as a substitute for permanently installed eye showers if these are mandatory, for example in laboratories. In such cases, permanently installed eyewashes are mandatory in order to comply with legal requirements. However, eyewash bottles are ideal as a supplementary safety measure and are permitted in many working environments. They offer the advantage of being ready for immediate use and can be used as mobile or stationary devices to provide rapid assistance in the event of eye injuries - especially in areas where no fixed eyewash is available.
